Commander's Welcome

Welcome to Samaritan Emergency Medical Search and Rescue.

SEMSAR is a not-for-profit Christian based   organization specializing in search and rescue, law enforcement/security   operations, and emergency medical services. Our command staff is comprised of   individuals with experience at all levels of public safety in Emergency   Medicine, Fire/Rescue, Law Enforcement, SWAT, Hazardous Materials, Search and   Rescue, and Nursing. Our volunteers come from all walks of life and undergo   intensive training prior to participating in actual law enforcement, medical,   and rescue operations. SEMSAR is loosely based on a military-style   command structure and personnel observe several aspects of standard military   etiquette. Search and rescue operations can easily be life or death   situations, and this particular structure serves us well in enforcing   discipline and maintaining order in stressful environments. This structure   also enhances camaraderie and reinforces to the individual member that he/she   belongs to something greater than themselves. An organization founded on the   importance of life itself in a world desperate for meaning.
