SALVATION

We at SEMSAR believe in the saving work of Jesus Christ, and that relationship with Him, through belief in His death, burial, and ressurection, is the only way that sinful man can approach a Holy and Righteous God. The steps outlined below bear witness to the truth of the diety of Jesus Christ. Five minutes of your time, to see what the Bible has to say about salvation, will determine your eternity. Please consider these words carefully, as they are the difference between life and death. We hope to see you in the Kingdom.

What is the Gospel?

Romans 1:16 - Romans 1:17 (KJV)

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Who Needs to be saved?

Romans 3:10 through Romans 3:17 (KJV)

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one. 13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips: 14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: 15 Their feet are swift to shed blood: 16 Destruction and misery are in their ways: 17 And the way of peace have they not known:

Romans 3:23 (KJV)

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

God’s Provision for Salvation:

Romans 5:8 (KJV)

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:19 (KJV)

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Romans 6:23 (KJV)

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Steps to Salvation:

Romans 10:9 - Romans 10:11 (KJV)

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

John 10:9 (KJV)

9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.

Acts 2:38 (KJV)

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Psalm 55:16 (KJV)

16 As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.

Ephesians 2:8 - Ephesians 2:10 (KJV)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Who can be saved?

Acts 2:21 (KJV)

21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Psalm 145:18 (KJV)

18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Assurance of Salvation:

Romans 10:13 (KJV)

13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 8:14 - Romans 8:16 (KJV)

14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.

1 John 3:14 (KJV)

14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

1 John 5:11 through 1 John 5:13 (KJV)

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

If these words have spoken to you, you only have to acknowlege that you believe Jesus died for you, confess that you are lost in sin, and ask Him to come into your heart and cleanse you. He will do it, if you believe. If you need assistance, need more information, or just need to talk, please call this ministry. We are here to serve.
